Your senior year is a very important year if you plan on becoming a student athlete in college. This is when all the the schools get deep into recruiting future athletes. First off, most schools look for grades. You can be the best athlete in the world but not get into college because of your grades. It is important to meet those grades and it is also important to meet your SAT or ACT standards that are required by the school that is looking at you.
The next thing is to becoming a student athlete is being physically fit. Collegiate sports are very intense and require that your body is in the best of shape. There is so much competition that if you are not in the best shape, schools can pass you up for the next person. You have to be faster and stronger than the competition.
Also, to becoming a student athlete, you have to be mentally ready. In college you will face many great obstacles. Those obstacles can lead your downfall. You have to have your mindset on success. You have to go there with goals set. You have to know what it is you want academically and athletically.
Last of all, you have to have the perfect fit. You have to make sure that your choice of school has your major, that it is in a area you like, that it is the right size for you, and its academic and athletic prestige.
